DAYTIME CLASSES

Conversational English and Grammar

This course will cover reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar and pronunciation. Course focuses on everyday New Zealand English.

Three levels are offered:

  • Level 1 - Beginners/ Elementary (Tutor: Greg Morman)
  • Level 2 - Pre-Intermediate (Tutor: Stephanie Edward)
  • Level 3 - Intermediate/ High Intermediate (Tutor: Jenny Jones)

A placement test will be held on the first day of classes each term to help students determine their level of study

  • Days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  • Time: 9am - 12 noon

 IELTS Academic Preparation Class

This class will help students to prepare for the IELTS Academic Exam. It will cover the four parts of the exam - Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. Our experienced IELTS teacher will provide lots of practise and tips on how to get high marks when you sit the IELTS exam.

  • Days: Tuesday and Thursday
  • Time: 9.15 - 11.15am
  • Term 1: starts Tuesday 5 February 2013
  • Term 2: starts Tuesday 7 May 2013

NIGHT TIME CLASSES

Beginners/Elementary

A class for  people with only little English. Learn phonics, basic vocabulary and spelling. Learn grammar and form simple sentences. Gain confidence on new speaking skills.

  • Monday and Wednesday nights
  • Time: 6.40-9pm
  • Duration: 7 weeks

An opportunity to improve grammar, speaking and listening skills.  Gain confidence in conversation and improve your pronunciation.

  • Time: 6.40-9pm
  • Duration: 7 weeks

English Speaking and Pronunciation

For students who are pre-intermediate level or higher. Practise and become more confident in your speaking skills. Classes will also include exercises to improve pronunciation.

Advanced Grammar & Vocabulary

 A class for students with a high level of English who would like to improve their grammar and extend their vocabulary.  Learn specialised, cultural and colloquial vocabulary.  Practise your writing, and receive feeback from the tutor.  A suitable course for people already in the workforce who need to improve their English to progress their career.
