Formally Riverton's best kept secret, this great little cafe is now a must go for coffee lovers, having been awarded the best cafe in the country by Cafe Magazine for 2012-13. Named after the owner of the old grocery store and bakery that was housed in this historic building 100 years ago, locals will tell you all about the exceptional coffee and delicious food (the southern cheese roll is a favourite). The cakes are freshly baked and the muffins fly off the shelves. With a great atmosphere and friendly service, it's army of regulars will tell you the award was more than well deserved!

Mrs Clark’s won the ‘Cafe of the Year’ award in 2012, voted by Cafe magazine. This little space is kitschy, cute and cosy. The brunches are good and the coffee (made using Havana coffee from Wellington) is pretty darn great. It’s definitely worth making a trip to the bottom of the South Island for this little cafe.
