Nelsons Bakery is a popular bakery in the centre of Inglewood, known for its delicious gourmet pies.

Owner and expert pie-maker Duncan Nelson is the grandchild of the original bakery owner which opened in 1945. Sold in 1988, Duncan left his job as an electrician to buy back the family business in 2009. It is only then that he developed his passion for baking and has gone about improving the age-old recipes.

Along with his fantastic pies, you can also find freshly made sandwiches, filled rolls, wraps and a good selection of homemade sweet treats, pastries, bread and drinks.

Nelsons Bakery is located in the heart of the lovely Inglewood. The very first time I had one of these pies I would have been a bit younger than 10, but it definitely set a new high standard for pies in my book. Every time we would take a trip to Inglewood I would get excited and beg mum to take me there as we got closer to the shop, I wasn’t lucky enough to get one every time, but occasionally she would give in and take me and it was like heaven!
