Established in 2004, No.1 Pancake has become a bit of an institution with those seeking a cheap eat in the city centre. Located in a kiosk on the corner of Wellesley and Lorne Streets, you will often see queues of people waiting for one of their tasty Korean pancakes.

With a tempting selection of sweet and savoury options to choose from, all of which cost less than $5, some of their more popular offerings include beef and cheese, ham, pineapple and cheese and their deliciously sweet cinnamon and sugar.

I love this tiny little pancake kiosk located on Lorne St. So many different flavour varieties for such a great price! I can't go past the sweet red bean flavour, its delicious!

The last time we came here was about three years ago and the pancakes were actually hot, messy rubbish. Thank goodness times have improved with as well as the variety of savoury pancakes, ranging from potato and cheese, ham and cheese, chicken to sweet, choices from red bean and chocolate (Next time we will try this). From $3-$4.50, the pancakes are real value for money, as well as being huge. We had to go to class so ate our massive pancake 3 hours after it was made. It was fantastic. Come here when you want something in the middle that´s hot and freshly made.

Great for a bite before you hit the gallery, chicken one my fave.
