Now it's getting into the cold drizzly months there is nothing better than a creamy warm curry. It seems to cuddle you from the inside out and totally rocks the world of comfort food. North Indian Food Kaitaia have got their magical recipes down pat and never fail to deliver massive portions of their delicious asian delicacies. I can never go past a good chicken tika masala, although the chef's trademark butter chicken is also a winner! You can eat in or takeaway, no delivery though.

Kaitaia wasn’t called that for nothing. Kai = food! The North Indian takeaways take it to a whole new level. Yes there are delicious buttery chickens and crunchy samosas, but if you want to keep it healthy like me then opt for one of their daahls or my fave - palak paneer. It’s a curry made out of lightly spiced spinach and a type of pressed cheese. Bonus points for keeping it vegetarian :)

Get a rich, creamy curry – I’m thinking good old butter chicken, or try dal makhani for something different - and a stonking big naan and snuggle up in front of the fire with a DVD. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty won’t disappoint, if you’re in need of a recommendation.
