Located in the centre of Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour, O’Hagans Irish bar is a prime example of a traditional Irish pub. Overflowing with original Irish charm the décor is warm and authentic, but O’Hagans has so much more to offer. Delight in the atmo...

I used to LOVE rocking up to O'Hagans for a glass of wine with curly fries on a Friday afternoon, but they took the fries of the menu! The bummer was, there was nothing really appetising to replace them either like breads and dips :( I hope they bring them back...especially as it's getting back in to summer!
Went there over the weekend and yes as we understand it was busy it still could have been better. When we arrived we asked if there were any tables. The waitress advised us that while there were no tables outside (which was fine) there were plenty of tables inside. So we walked in and found that there were actually none. Well apart from one right at the back in the corner and uncleaned. We decided to sit anyway and finally after 10mins we got up and asked for someone to come over and serve us. We finally got a menu (covered in sauce) but they failed to see that the table was covered in a mess of water, salt etc. My partner ordered the beef burger and I ordered the chicken cibbatta. Have to say we both got piles of bacon which is fantastic but out meat was dry and the fries werent cooked properly. We didnt say anything as we were both starving. I know pub grub is normally average most of the time but I have to say I have had better. I have been to O'hagans plenty of times before where we haven't eaten and it's been great. Great atmosphere but I had to rate this on this time. I'm sorry.
thats fun.... and O'Hagans has a great atmosphere with its Guiness and Kilkenny and good old wholesome Irish grub. You could be forgiven for thinking that this is simply just another Irish bar "what with the paraphernalia, flags and sign posts (even a massive stag's head) but they don't want you think that. Its a big bar with good views of the screens if sport is your thing, some round barrel tables and lots of seating outside for warm summer nights. A nice relaxed Irish atmosphere.
I'm surprised these guys are still in business (hehehe). This was my nephews home and since he's headed off over the seas I hope they will survive with out him! They hosted his farewell party which we attended, great location right on the waterfront and the food was Ok. Hopefully enough money passed over the bar on that night to see them through to my nephews return!!!!!
