Occam Cafe and Bar in the heart of the ‘real’ Grey Lynn has been a favourite with locals for years and shows no sign of slowing down. One of the reasons I recommend it is the ever changing menu, which is extensive compared to many of its ilk as well as seasonal and inspired. Servings are hearty too, and the coffee and wine list the perfect accompaniment. Oh and great cabinet food if you’re on the go, but get in quick as it empties early!
Went here for lunch one day when we were in the area. The menu was great and the staff were so friendly. My two girls got amazing fluffies and we didn't even order them! their choc brownie looked beautiful and they really loved the food. They also loved the space to move around and look at the flowers outside too. A very nice family friendly environment with yummy food which was delivered quickly. A great find.

I never found the place very inviting with the big plastic drapes outside but wanted to try it out. The food was nothing special. While it was nicely presented, taste and quality was just ok. The risotto was quite nice but also nothing to be crazy about. The interior was not very appealing and it wasn't particularly comfortable. I would also recommend to proofread the menu.
Went there for a Sunday morning breakfast and had a really well cooked breakfast of spicy sausages, Scrambled egg, mushrooms tomatoes and hash browns. However, my wife ordered the eggs benedict without the bacon (veggie) but it came to the table with it on the plate. My wife explained that she had asked for it without bacon and all they did was to take it out. I would rather see them replace the bread as well.
