This place has been here for years and years and years !! But they still sell the good ol' Tip Top icecream that we all LOVE !! They have a great selection of flavours to choose from and if you can't make up your mind, they will give you a sample to taste ! How cool is that ?? Not only do they have icecreams, they have all the other stuff that goes with it too e.g. burgers, chips, hotdogs, drinks, shakes etc. A great place to come to treat the kids in the w/end or after a game or come for dessert after dinner for a little treat. Sometimes we've noticed that they have new flavours and they will do a special promo e.g. half priced scoops or 50c scoops or something like that which is pretty cool !
Ollies has good icecreams and Ok food but I can't help but imagine it being so much better... Don't get me wrong, its good but I feel it has the potential to be AMAZING! It is in a great location and has been around forever, but I think it could do with a bit of spruce up and fine tune of its uniqueness. Maybe get rid of the arcade games, or at least specialise in vintage ones or something more unique. Maybe go more with the classic American 60's style diner feel, maybe even give the waitresses rollerskates! I'm not sure, I just think it could be amazing!
This place is awesome. I am stoked to see it still thriving with people coming in. Went here recently to find it much the same as 25 years ago. Which is just great to see. Shame the Afterburner gaming machine isn't there anymore. It was awesome to play on all those years ago, and one of a kind at the time.
