The beach is safe for swimming and is also suitable for fishing and kayaking. There is a ferry terminal located on the southern end and a fabulous children's playground on the waterfront reserve.

This hidden gem is a fantastic place for a picnic and a swim. It’s hidden at the end of the Omokoroa Penninsula, which is off State Highway 2 about 20 minutes north of Tauranga. The calm harbour is a great place for kids to have a swim and in summer the shallows are really warm and inviting. There is a boat club to enjoy a wine on the deck, a restaurant if you get peckish and a superette and fairly lucky Lotto shop.

Magical spot cute little village.
