The Otara Cube is a unique exhibition space located outside the Ōtara Bus Interchange in Otara's town centre. The three-metre shipping container was initially set up in 2013 by the Manukau Institute of Technology with the support of the Otara-Papatoetoe Local Board. Intended to be a temporary exhibition space, they have now received additional funding which will allow the cube to remain until at least 2018.

Aiming to promote local artists and allow the local community to have access to the diverse range of talent coming out of South Auckland, the exhibitions change on a regular basis and are free of charge to view.
