If you are travelling through the Tararua and through the town of Woodville .Then I would recommend the New Central Hotel .Meet the locals , have a beer , play the pokies , dinner is served from a clean moden kitchen .Chips burgers ull meals .

I often stop here at the New Central , the parking lot is fenced off and has asecurity camera and a vigilant cat on duty so it is relativlely safe .

To park over night see the proprietor Ken is his name .Ask if you can park over night in the park lot and if your vehicle is self serviced . ie grey water storage and a toilet on board , that should be fine . No charge but it always pays to support the host a little .

Good one recommended . Warm and cosy near the fire at night .
