If you love everything French, you'll love Sandringham neighbourhood gem Petit Bocal. We arrived for an afternoon coffee meeting and both of us agreed that by the time the coffees came out we had found one of the best cafes in Auckland. The mocha was particularly amazing, made with real chocolate and arriving with the face of a cow in its foam. Petit Bocal is where Kiwi ingenuity meets French refinement.

Everyone comes for the animal coffee art. Don't lie - you know you saw the Instagram post and really want an elephant. Come in the morning or late afternoon and they will never disappoint. French service with a smile - they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner - with freshly baked pastries and sweets. The platters are perfect for a late night meet up with friends - they're open until 10pm. Only petit thing about them, is their name. Big love for this local beauty !

Fantastic food, lovely staff and consistently excellent. The Coffee art is a treat that sets them apart as well. All and all a delightful experience.

They have the best hot chocolates out and amazing coffee art. Great food. Really friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Must try it if you haven't!
