Overall I have had consistently good food here. If you can't find something you feel like, you are not hungry. Clean, busy, cheap beer. What more could you want really?

I’ve never had a dud meal here. The prices are really cheap and its always buzzing

The Ponsonby International Food Court is a Ponsonby icon, and it's not for no reason.  The stalls here are wide ranging and you can find something for even the most fussy of palates. Although there is a definite Asian theme to this place, there is also the trusty Italian and Kebab places to appease those who aren't into Asian foods. Buying drinks separately is also genius - it means that prices are always regular, and it's great to have a glass of wine with your meal! This place is always packed but I've never not been able to sit at a table. I have to say that some of the best dishes I've had have come from the Thai and Malaysian places, however there is a relatively new Indonesian place that seems to be very popular.  On the whole, the food seems to be freshly cooked and delicious - a definite favourite is the Roti Canai from the Malaysian place, and the Japanese place does a great bowl of udon!

As soon as you step inside the doors, you know this place must be good. Ponsonby Food Court has lots of food meals to choose from so the whole family can choose exactly what they all want to eat individually. It's packed with lots of people all enjoying the huge array of different meals from many different countries, Italian, Indian, Malaysian, Turkish, Thai, Chinese ....

great range, low prices. love this food court!

So much to choose from and so hard to decide because it is ALL good! There are all sorts of people there enjoying the same thing - great quality food. Added bonus is having a bar on site (not many food courts offer that!). Pad Thai is always a winner and the garlic pita from the Turkish place is on $5.50 and so delicious!

best foodcourt in town. It's particularly well managed. its always tidy and hygienic (whenever i have been there anyway!) lots of different food varieties and a good crowd there. The special 'bar' in the middle is also an important factor!!

Food courts traditional see you seated under a bold neon glare, ensuring you rush in and out for your quick-fix lunch or dinner but this is where the Ponsonby food court differs and excels - the dazzling lights that see you reaching for your sunglasses is absent and the atmosphere is much improved because of it. It's a place where you can have a cheap but relaxing meal, where you can meet a posse of friends and chill for an hour or so. It's not just the atmosphere that makes it stand out - it's also chocka with great dining choices - the Malaysian and Laotian are stand out for me (try the Spinch curry and you'll never look back) but there is also Vietnamese, Japanese, Italian and more. The only issue can be the parking around here but find a side street and walk up and back - it's worth it.

This place is legend.  Whether you are people spotting or actually hungry - you can find something for anyone here.  Well...anyone who enjoys eating food that is tastier than a cauliflower mash. There is a wide range - Japanese, Italian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Indian, Mexican and more.   I should know the 'more' but i'm usually drawn to the Bento box or fill-a-plate Chinese smorgasboard action.  There's a bar there too - you can share a beer or wine with your fellow diners.  It's not all about the food! Most of the restaurants have a chiming bell system - where you wait at the table for your remote to start ringing which lets you know that your dinner is ready.  Some still do the table number and service thing.  Either way - it works well. It's usually packed so you can spend a lot of time cruising in a predatory fashion, waiting for a table to come free.  Eye contact, nods, hand gestures - use anything you can to secure a good table.  I suggest avoiding the spaces between the two main doors as there can be a rather cool draught and it does get irritating having people jostle past you as they come in and out.
