We came on a super busy Sunday morning. The menu options and decor are really interesting. I had smoked fish omlette and it was fab. Good people watching, from middle aged hipsters to the posh new mums with expensive handbags. Had a very big city hip vibe.

Ive heard so much about Queenies so spent my Sunday morning with friends sitting in the sun at Queenies.  Fab coffee and breakfast.  I'll be back for sure

(but I wanted to form my own opinion) So, I wanted lunch, and coming through the door quickly spotted the cabinet filled with delicious cakes and some savouries. Not quite what I was after, but if that’s all that was on offer, I was happy to try it out. I looked for evidence of a menu or board but there wasn’t. The service was fabulous & what I had was delicious. However, on sitting, I was moderately surprised to see lovely looking plates of “lunch” food being brought out, and to hear the newly arrived people on my neighbouring table being asked if they were here “for lunch”. Does one have to be a local/regular to be asked? If not, it would be great if there what else was on offer was more evident. I’ll definitely try again sometime.

Love this place. The decor especially. Great coffee, friendly staff and meat pies too. Outside space too.

Obscure, delicious food makes us regulars. A lovely setting in the middle of Freeman's Bay with heaps of parking around here. Be sure to visit at least twice.

I ordered the boiled eggs with mitey soldiers and it was SO cute! The eggs came out perched on a section of egg carton and the soldiers were stacked like a teepee. Gorgeous! Just like my delicious coffee :)

As soon as I walked in here for the first time, I knew the food would be good. Everywhere you look the place oozes charm and character, from the blackboard menu to the custom gingerbread at the counter. The staff are super friendly and actually seem to enjoy what they're doing, instead of being the usual cookie-cutter young girls you seem to encounter at other places. They actually talk to you like you're a real person! The best part of course is the food and coffee, everything I've had here tastes fresh and delicious. Queenies just has that little extra something special that makes you want to keep coming back, and by the looks of the creative professionals having meetings over a coffee here, it seems others have the same idea. Highly recommended!

A great little cafe tucked in between college hill and Franklin Road. Not much seating but the food is excellent.
