Rasa is the best place in town to get a "dosa" a south Indian paper crepe type thing that is so big you have to ask the tables around you to move. They have been around for ages, serve a mean fish curry and is a BYO....It's South Cuba Street legend where the staff are always friendly and the bicycle on the wall is class!

Great little BYO spot, cheap and nicely prepared.

There’s something for everyone at this cosy Cuba restaurant. Roti chicken wraps for those who like to play it safe and massive dosais for the adventurous. They do a delicious mango lassi if the food you’ve ordered is a bit on the spicy side. The friendly service gets everyone coming back for more so best to play it safe and book!

Arguably Wellington’s best curries - offering both Indian and Malaysian curry, and heaps of options for vegetarians and meat-lovers alike. It’s also BYO so grab a date or a group for a tasty and cheap night out.

I guess I can never exhaust the number of good Malaysian restaurants in this city. That's certainly not a bad thing. Rasa in particular is one in which you can get murtabak, which I don't believe you can find in most of the other Malaysian places in the city. I think of murtabak as the Malaysian equivalent of a quesadilla. And Rasa serves one up deliciously.

The beef rendang is to die for!!!!! And the peanut sauce. . . yum.

This is my fave place to go for a tasty curry. It's yum, fast and well priced. The butter chicken, korma and abu chicken are amazing and the mee goreng is the best I've tried... ever.

I come here especially for the Dosai - a savoury South Indian pancake which comes with a selection of sauces. The only downside is the restaurant can get quite cramped when busy.
