It was the birthday of one of the coolest cats on my team. A very talented drummer in an acclaimed Kiwi band, he's not an easy person to buy a present for so I was a bit stumped until I walked through the doors at Real Groovy. An assault for the senses (in the best kind of way) for music-lovers, I always under-estimate what an incredible music shop this is until I'm in it. I have fond memories of trawling through vinyl at the back of the store as a teen, spending hours sifting in here while I was a broody uni student and now, in my adult life, it's again become a go-to for great gifts. For the record, I got him a cup that said, 'You Rock'. It was a classically cheesy office present but thanks to Real Groovy, this staffer's one has just the right amount of class.
