Red Elephant Restaurant

This used to be a regular dining spot when I worked just up the road.  The atmosphere of stark red and black gives it a more formal feel.  The food has stayed at the same high level as when they won the Best Thai Restaurant, 2007 Metro. The service is formal as with the setting.  But we come for the food and always leave satisfied. Its not the cheapest Thai but you get what you pay for.  Luckily there's good parking because its right under the motorway.  I highly recommend the cocktails too. 

Went with the family to Red Elephant, it's real Thai fine dining! The service is exemplary and it's a nice change to have crisp white table cloths and fresh white serviettes. You know you're in for something a cut above average when the maitre'd comes around laying the serviettes on the lap of each guest. The dishes are phenomenal with an excellent choice for vegetarians. The staff are happy to make alterations to menu items, and go so far as to get excited about some of the suggested changes! (I like my sweet and sour with cashews, hold the pinrapple thanks very much!). There's really nothing to fault the restaurant on. If you like Thai Food and are looking for somewhere special, this is it. Highly recommended!
