A rainy day is the perfect excuse to treat yourself to a movie at Regent 3 in Masterton. With a recently upgraded audio visual system, Regent 3 offers high quality picture and sound for the latest movies and 3D movies. They screen the usual blockbusters as well as kids films and are part of the international film festival bringing the best arthouse and foreign films to Wairarapa. Don’t forget to grab some real buttered popcorn or a choc top!
On a rainy day during the school holidays, take the kids to a movie at the classic Regent 3 Cinemas. The cinema recently upgraded to digital for picture-perfect viewing and crystal-clear sound and they have a good candy bar with great, buttery popcorn. The location is right in the centre of town and is adjoined to Cafe Strada, so you can drop the kids off and grab a coffee or meet up with a friend. Kids’ films screening now include Muppets Most Wanted, Rio 2, Mr Peabody and Sherman and The Lego Movie. If your kids haven’t experienced a 3D film yet, take them to Mr Peabody and Sherman or The Lego Movie, which are also available in 3D. Prices are reasonable, kids up to age 12 are $9 and children under 3 are free.
