All my great experiences at Rialto have somehow been overshadowed by the lack of queue functionality in the lobby and the freezing cold cinemas.

I haven't been to the Rialto for AGES and will def be back soon - my cinemas of choice from now on I think. Lovely small cinemas, wine with your movie and they show great films!

Great Film, Great Food

One of the better cinemas in auckland - big comfy seats, a bar, and usually a decent selection of movies.

Good movies, comfy seats, daunting selection of snacks. Get the bus there, so many bus routes stop really close to the entrance!

I love going to Rialto. A great selection of films that you know will normally be excellent quality and you won't be disappointed. The seats are comfy, there are lots of festivals and festival films to see, and you can get reward cards too. I always love to go, though you do have to be aware that parking can be a problem. I think that there are validation parking tickets available for a certain parking buiding, but I think it gives you two hours, and often films are longer than this. But just go early to find a park, have a wine and enjoy your film!

Rialto is convenient to town, hosts great film festivals and they have loyalty cards if you go heaps. If you park in the Rialto Carpark- you can validate your parking and get it for free by showing your Rialto receipt. Rialto have a bar perfect for pre-film drinks and they have choctop icecreams. Tuesdays are cheap, lovely!

With the roomy and comfortable seats, the Rialto is a great place to watch a film.  With a great selection of arthouse and mainstream films, I much prefer the plush surroundings of the Rialto to some of the other chain cinemas. The attached food court is great for dinner - meeting up with friends before a film is easy and cheap.   It's great having food delivered to your seat as well - and the affogatos are amazing.  Why go anywhere else?

Smart and classy cinema showing an abundance of arthouse and film festival movies as well as mainstream fare.  Take a beer or wine into the film or a great coffee.  They have a decent lounge to discuss the movie over a drink afterwards but it can be a little on the chilly side if you're out late.  If you want to see a movie, check if it's on at Rialto first - you'll be glad you did.
