SaveMart is a nationwide chain of recycled clothing stores. Established in 1964 when an old auctioneers warehouse in Wanganui was transformed into their first outlet, today there are 33 branches throughout New Zealand.

Selling clothing for the whole family, along with footwear, accessories, toys, books, bric-a-brac and more, they aim to provide quality fashion at affordable prices.

Supporting numerous charities including the Child Cancer Foundation, many items deemed unsuitable for sale or not sold within four weeks will either be sent to a charitable organisation in Papua New Guinea or to India to be transformed into blankets for relief organisations.

SaveMarts are bloody brilliant! They are always huge warehouse spaces jam-packed with clothing. The Rotorua is one of the best and well-stocked. I suggest allowing a few hours or more to rifle through the hundreds of racks.
