This little pocket of second-hand clothing is one of the best second-hand shops around. Search and Destroy is the long-running overflow from the iconic Fast & Loose. Fast & Loose is gone but her bargain basement sister remains, ready to give you all the $5 and $10 clothing you could ever hope to get your hot little hands on.

The perfect place to come for unique pieces, while also being extremely well-priced.

If you are looking for beautiful vintage threads, Search & Destroy is a must-do shopping experience. Locally owned, operated and curated with one of the cleverest eyes in the business, this is an Auckland icon of second hand clothing.

    Well edited collection of vintage threads, $10 buys you nearly anything. Your next loud jersey, or favourite cardy, awaits you.

      A cult vintage and secondhand clothing shop that has bargains galore for $5, $10, $20 as well as a rack of more collectible clothing - but still at great prices. The shop is small but incredibly charming and stock is refreshed daily.

        Search and Destroy is definitely one of the better op shops in the whole of Auckland and as an op shop connoisseur this is a big call from me! I have never ever visited this shop and left without buying something. As a genuine vintage store, this shop will have you dressed as an indie hipster in no time. The store isn’t that big but the clothes obviously aren’t ordered or anything so it takes a wee while to get through everything and you do want to make sure you search hard because it is easy to overlook something which could be a gem!

          Awesome bargains for vintage grubbers like myself. Love to check this place out to see what's on offer!  

            If you are strolling K’Rd on a Sunday you might be lucky enough to strike a week where Tony puts out a selection of bric a brac outside the shop. Always popular and certainly eclectic, the Search and Destroy market stall is a source of delight. From old wooden ladders to Agee jars and quirky textiles, it’s a certainly a colourful and fun distraction.

              Search & Destroy owner Tony Downing is reputed to be one of K Rd's best collectors of vintage items, and he continues to skilfully curate one of the finest shops in town. Every item sells at $5 or $10, with the odd pricier piece thrown in (it's always worth it). Everything's cheap, everything's gold - exactly what you want in a secondhand store.
