Whether you're fishing with a kite, a kontiki or a rod, you can predict a good catch at Seatoun Beach in Wellington. With kahawai in the area all year, and blue cod also around during particular parts of the year.

One of the things that makes Seatoun such a great fishing beach, is the night fishing. Tarakihi can be caught at night, as well as red cod in the colder months.

Another more suburban spot that is relatively easy to access, a good one for those late afternoon/early evening sessions also good for night thanks to tidal movements. Go check it out and have a good time, its not too far from anything and only a short drive from the Wellington CBD. A good spot for some nice summer hang outs.
