My favourite place to be on a Friday night!

    Silo Park Night Market is THE place to be on a Friday night! They have a pretty cool range of food, drinks, froyo, little stalls with cute things, even a stall that offers haircuts! Silo Park night market is such a good place for an after dinner stroll and grabbing dessert here & enjoying the sunset is always a good idea! Such a perfect end to your summer day by spending the night at the market!

        If you feel the need for speed then Silo Cinema will be delivering it to you on Friday 18 January with a special screening of the '80s classic Top Gun. Grab some dinner from one of the great street food stalls, like the Mexikai food truck, before the movie gets projected onto the side of the silos, and toast the end of the week at the Silo Park Bar. Markets start at 5pm, movie starts at 9pm. Free entry to both the markets and the movie. Photo credited to Robtast1c: Flickr

          When I've had friends visiting the city in summer, I always take them to the Silo Park night markets for a free movie, a bottle of wine and some delicious churros. The market stalls are great, with some fun alternative finds.  Also a great place to spend a summer day, with the nice grass and play park. Parking is really reasonable too, for Auckland CBD!

            This is the coolest spot for summer. Check out the night markets and not freeze. Also, check out the movies and popcorn I definite must for Auckland in the Summer

                Came here yesterday after finding out about it online- great thing that I did. Great venue- have always loved it- since it was built. Nice indie/alternative hip market with cool jewellery and these awesome kite type of things. Great food- recommend the filling Banger Boys. Must see!

                  Was so great to go for a free outdoor movie, market was cool. A real great cheap night out. Cheers

                    The atmosphere down at the Silo Park is great! The markets sell a range of items made by local crafters. I really like the jewelry selection and it's not too expensive. The outdoor movie project onto one of the Silo's is fantastic! Whoever came up with the idea - thank you! I have had many a fun Friday down at the Silo.
