Let you imagination take you on a journey for a couple of hours

    Silo theater is an awesome way to spend a Friday evening! Friends, movies and tacos!

      Silo theatre always put out a great range of shows with something to cater for all tastes. Silo's shows are usually put on at the Herald Theatre at the Aotea Centre. I recently saw The Brothers Size. It was different to any other show I have seen. The casting was amazing and the actors played their parts perfectly in what would have been a difficult environment to perform (the set was a bare concrete slab and a bucket of water - all other props were mimed). The opening was amazing with the creation of a soundscape building up and the use of a percussionist throughout the show was very clever. The stage directions such as enters or exits as well as movements or reactions were often spoken by the character which I haven't seen done before and worked to great effect with the minimal set. Would definitely recommend you see any of their shows as you are guaranteed a professional but intimate performance.
