With limited time in Auckland, SkyJump is the best thing to do in Auckland. Get a jump time booked, brunch at Depot, buy gifts for kids at Smith & Caughey, Auckland Art Gallery, then bravely do the SkyWalk & Sky Jump. Had 3 Americans friends in town for work and they had a half day in Auckland to get a true New Zealand experience. The weather was poor so a beach day was out...but there is always gaps in the rain and Skyjump will run as long as the winds aren't too. high. Perfect rainy day thing to do in Auckland. Unfortunately, we had a mishap with the go pro video we purchased from AJ Hackett Sky Jump. Immediately, Priel Paniora, Auckland Site Manager for Sky Walk & Sky Jump, solved the problem. She sent a beautiful note with a temporary link to the lost video and then turned our frowns upside down by sending videos and photos of the other people in our party who had not purchased videos. The video in question was particularly special because it was a lesson to my friend's son about conquering your fears. Preil Paniora, then went the extra mile offering Brian another jump on a sunny day if he every makes it back to New Zealand with his son to view it live. AJ Hackett is known for best in class service. Great Tourist Attraction. Great thing to do in Auckland. Amazing Service! Highly recommend.
Lovely scenes if you are lucky to get a beautiful sunset. Walk around and see Auckland from 360 degrees. Take coins for the telescope. Pity they do not have bigger ones and open 24 hours so that certain celestial events can be viewed from there. Some restaurants such as Gusto and others are downstairs but getting quite a name for themselves.
I think the view from the Sky Tower is breathtaking and I would like to take myself and my 86 year old mother and my daughter and my grandaughter for breakfast at the Orbit. My mother still works part-time. She has given birth to 14 children, buried 3 in the space of 6months (2 years ago). Spends money like nothing, but never on herself. She would rather give her money to her children / grandchildren than buy her a lb butter (her words). She has recently retired as the priest of our Anglican church in Manurewa. Thank you
