Snatch is a popular Auckland bar located on the famous and ever changing trendy Ponsonby Road. Opened in March 2007, Snatch is a unique retro bar with a 1950’s lounge style feel and some stunning images from the era support the look. Snatch provides a relaxed atmosphere, a delicious cocktail list that you won’t be able to resist.

One of my best friends had her 21st here. It is a small little bar and was a perfect size for her 21st. They let her bring in a ham and rolls with salad, etc and I don’t think the place was too expensive to hire out - they just had to put a bar tab on. At the moment this is just a drinks bar but according to the website they are going to add some bar snacks to the menu pretty soon. Snatch bar has a very relaxed atmosphere and a very eclectic taste in music - it usually has old funky music playing but on this occasion they let my friend hook her own music up. I especially liked the leather seats outside, except don’t get too comfortable or you won’t want to ever get up/probably can’t because your skin sticks to it. Or maybe that’s just me.
Nothing beats a supping a cocktail when you've sunk into the comfortable leather couch at Snatch, it's a great way to watch the world go by on Ponsonby Road. Snatch serve the most delicious cocktails in a relaxed retro 50's style lounge bar, not juts cocktails the wine list is quite extensive to featuring the best from New Zealand & Australia Pop in on a Tuesday night for the open Mic session you never know what to expect but its fun.
