When I first heard of Spitting Feathers I was expecting a dingy old English Pub with pint glasses hanging from the ceiling, a wall dedicated to royalty or football, and some kind of "100 club" guiness reward system. Instead, I was impressed that for once, an English pub wasn't a horrible mash together of English and Irish cliches, (and of course that my wrists didn't stick to the dirty bar leaners!) This bar has a great little outdoor deck for the smokers, a long bar, and a decent area for food and is quickly becoming a good casual hang out.

    The owners and bar staff are super friendly, the specials on a Wednesday and Sunday are great value and you can get a "proper English pint." They also server a few other home comforts which I have sorely missed! Nice, modern venue in the city!

      Good tucker and great beer! I saw this place months ago and thought what a weird place for a pub. I eventually decided to go after a Google for cheap eats. Ivsaw it dis a wide range of British beer and cider as well as quorn meals… That is not a spelling mistake quorn is a veggie meat substitute. Ivhad nachos and a pint of thwaites great will be back again. The service was good and the place was quite cool!

          Great litle hidden gem. They have imported beer from the UK, John Smiths, Tetleys, Strongbow, Carling and have it all on tap. The pub food selection is also imported Walkers crisps, bacon fries, scampi fries, pot noodles. You can get a proper pint of cider for $6. I dont know how they do it but that cheaper than my local pub in England. The prices are fantastic The staff are cool and very freindly and now and again they walk round with free food and hand it out like spring rolls etc...  Great little pub, very happy I found it. 

            Got a pint of Cider for $6, and the staff gave out free samples of their springrolls, which was nice, it was full but I didn't really liked the atmosphere in there, it is a bit cold and maybe the place is too big to get a cozy pub feeling. But they have a lot of importat beer like desperados etc. and this english crab cocktail crisps :)

              Had a few drinks here after work on Friday.  This place has a nice friendly feel to it.  Staff are very nice and onto it.  The drinks are reasonably priced, possibly cheaper than any other pub.  It did warm up quite a bit, perhaps fans could be installed.  Had a great night, and will be back!

                Visited last week  had a very good time drinks ales for the past  great place to drink 

                  Went here today for lunch and had a great meal for a very reasonable price, they have a great selection of English ales and lagers on tap and in bottles. Recommend the Black sheep and Newcastle brown ale !

                    Very modern, classy bar with all-English imported beers including cask-conditioned real ale flown in from the mother country. Classic English pub grub also. The real ale was tasting a little tired, but it's good to see someone trying to do this.
