Spotlight Mt Wellington

I had a great time browsing and receiving several offers of assistance from staff members, bought several metres of fabric, some dye and some yarn.

Normally I love Spotlight and can spend hours browsing through the craft aisle. Unfortunately on the last two occasions I have had disappointing customer service from the fabric/sewing counter. Today I asked the assistant for help choosing matching cotton for three tops I wanted to alter. From her raised eyebrows and looking at me as if I was stupid you would think I had asked for the Queen’s jewels. Reluctantly she came out from her counter and to her credit helped me.  This is a great shop if you know what you’re after but if you need any specialist advice I suggest going elsewhere.

We popped into the Mt Wellington Spotlight today. It is very well laid out, tidy and well organised. They have a really good party section. The Apex mega centre is a little bit confusing to get in and out of but once inside there is loads of parking and it was very quiet, so good for a hassle free browse.

I’ve been a fan of spotlight for a long time now, especially when there are sales. However I often find that they are disorgsnised and chaotic, this one is different much more organised and easy to find things. 4 star!
