One for the Friday night groovers! Guaranteed to bring the funk every Friday night with Auckland's best covers band The Beat Council playing 10pm-12am. With friendly staff pouring cheap Heineken on tap and a huge dance floor to cater for the masses I wouldn't take my party people anywhere else. Covers from Michael Jackson to Shaggy, it's bound to give the hinges a work out - but if that doesn't sound like you there is a huge courtyard onlooking Auckland's Sky Tower for all the end of week yarns one could want. Did I mention there is a pool table? Oh the activities... and pizza... lots of pizza!
What was once the home of Sale Street bar has laid the foundations for Sweat Shop Brew Bar and Kitchen. It’s a boutique brewery, with a kitchen that “never sleeps”, holding live music every Friday, with staff that claim they are “the hardest working in the city”. Plus this Halloween is their first birthday and it's going to be quite the event. There will be heaps of George FM DJs on the decks, Halloween theme, spot prizes for best dressed along with general good times and free flowing beers! The place to be this Halloween for sure!
