Tango is all about owner Driss's sense of style and thanks to him you can wear some wonderful creations from the 20th century. Just walking into his place is a massive assault on your visionary senses; couches, cabinets, silk gowns, jackets, lights and paintings fill up every possible space. Mannequins seductively look at you in tailored coats and hats. Driss was displaying fur and taxidermy well before it became fashionable again.

If you want to make a statement about how you have a unique sense of dress, a trip to Little High St will achieve that purpose.

If you wanted to check out a vintage option try Tango. Although there is no guarantee you’ll find something to fit it is definitetly worth trying. I fell in love with a 1930’s dress that was a bit too small. However I managed to get some gorgeous accessories that I love and wore on the day. Driss, the owner of Tango, has an incredible eye and won’t let you leave the store with anything that you don’t look amazing in. He styled my mum for my wedding too. She looked gorgeous and was really happy in her kimono jacket and pearls.

Great High Street shop, feel like a million dollars, don’t pay nearly as much!

Tango is a treasure trove of authentic vintage finds, and also houses one of the most impressive collection of coats and furs around town. While you might need to bust out your piggybank for these pieces, you know that they're garments that are made to last through times and fickle fashion trends.

Original jackets for guys that no one else even has anything looking like it

Not cheap, but cheaper than first hand designer (which is a racket!). Tango is an emporium of vintage wonders, and your broke **** is going to find an amazing piece of statement jewellery for way less than the cost of that KW ring you're lusting over (but everyone else already has).

You can't beat Tango for vintage in Auckland. Driss has been pounding the market pavements in Europe and New Zealand for years and has amassed an eye popping selection of beautiful things in his cavernous Little High Street Store. Sequins, fur, Harris tweed, lurex, 40's crepe, 50's taffeta and psychedelic 60's shifts jockey for position on the racks, walls and mannequins and make for a captivating store to spend time in.

This is the best vintage store in Auckland. The owner Driss Lambaraa has exquisite taste and everything in the store has been carefully handpicked by him. From my Frye boots to my original 1950's baby blue dress - I can thank Driss for many of the favourite things in my wardrobe.  He has styled me for so many events I've lost count!  He also has a great collection of furniture and art.  It's a joy to spend time in his beautiful store.
