Tasteful Bakehouse and Cafe in the CBD have been going for over 5 years. We provide a wide range of cakes, sandwiches, hot homemade pies, cooked breakfasts, fried chicken and chips, and beverages including coffee. We are conveniently located in the CBD and have the best pies in the street, we also provide the friendliest service here so come in today!

This place is awesome... never had any trouble with the quality of the food, always nice and fresh.  They always serve with a big smile on their faces even when they are really busy.  They have few tables if you want to sit and eat as well.  The food variety is good... starting from fried chicken to carrot cakes! A must try is the chicken avocado roll... just ask to toast it for you... yuummm!!!

    Tasteful Bakehouse is situated on a part of Karangahape Road with a long row of nondescript beige shops. It's usually populated by hyper Auckland Girls Grammar students or punters from the Rising Sun bar so one could be forgiven for walking past here as quickly as possible. Today, we're glad we stopped by to sample one of the best bacon and egg sandwiches we're ever had from this part of town. Moist, tasty and fresh, we highly recommend you come in and try one. The bread is also baked onsite. Service is fast, cheerful with lots of patrons in the hour that we spent there.

      Everything I've tried so far has been excellent! Delightful quiches, generously filled pies, rolls and sandwiches (with home-baked bread). Really yummy cakes that are hard to resist. Great coffee, and if you are genuinely really hungry a "Big Breakfast" that includes eggs, bacon, sausage, tomato, mushrooms, fried onions, hash browns and toast...for just $9.50! Seeing is believing, I've travelled NZ on business for 45 years and never found better value than this.
