I am so impressed with the Te Ahu cinema! I went for the first time just the other day. Right from the moment you step into the building it feels like a special night out. I saw the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (not my choice!) which was better than I expected. I think this centre is a real highlight for Kaitaia. It's beautiful, it tells the story and history of our region so well and is something to be proud of.

    In Kaitaia’s modern, new community centre, Te Ahu Cinema opens on public and school holidays, showing the latest releases, though it is available for private, group bookings outside those times. For a bite to eat beforehand, head to the Beachcomber Restaurant and enjoy the fresh, local catch.
