First trip here at the weekend, made me feel like I was back home in the UK. Just like the modernised areas around Manchester and Liverpool Albert Dock. Great decor, comfy areas, good background music, not too loud. Lots of different areas, am told the upstairs is great but was closed for private party. Only downside is its a bit on the pricey side and could also improve the bar snack menu.
This is a great new complex in central takapuna. It is very modern and looks awesome to anybody walking past. It was very loud when I walked in there, but it has a great atmosphere. I love the out door area that has comfy couches and tables and bar stools as well as out door heaters for those colder evening. Love it!
Everyone's been raving about Takapuna's latest restaurant so we thought we had to see what all the fuss was about. And what a fuss us girls made over our food! Having just opened on Friday, this place has been packed out everyday since then and it's easy to see why. Head Chef Nick Honeyman (who's background includes Sale St establishments Dallow’s and Cru and French Café) produces extraordinary dishes that are full of creativity and will create a flavour explosion in your mouth. He's even changed the menu since opening so there's no shortage of variety here. Can't wait to return for their degustation menu as apparently you can select which foods you like and they'll create a dish especially for you! I highly recommend this restaurant if you're over the Shore - you'll be amazed!
