When the sun is beaming, this is THE place to go in Auckland for a cocktail by the water... and an (18-inch!) pizza... and a burger. In fact, the list could go on because like its ingenious interior - which is paradise for a plant-lover like me - there is attention to detail in everything that's served up at The Conservatory. But I digress because what this is really all about is the cocktails. On a scorching day, there's no better way to treat yourself than pulling up a pew at Tricky Hartley's establishment and imbibing in a few glasses of the good stuff. I'm a big tequila fan so am particularly partial to The Conservatory's magic margaritas and, when the temperature goes above 30 degrees, you really can't beat a Pimms Cup with fresh strawberries, cucumber, orange and mint. The kitchen also does incredible platters so it's one to file away for a free Friday afternoon with friends that will undoubtedly extend into a long and adventurous evening. Who's thirsty?
