For chef Jono Clarke, his love for fresh and innovative cooking and many years in the food and catering industry led him to open The Luscious Food Store - bringing his style of innovative food to the people of Te Atatu Peninsula.

The Luscious Food Store is a relaxed, child-friendly neighbourhood cafe that serves up fresh, locally-sourced meals that changes with the seasons. There's a great outdoor area perfect for lounging in the sun, with activities for the kids and beer on tap for the grown-ups. They also provide luxury catering and a venue for both private and public functions and events.

    Te Atatu Peninsula is an area on the rise and leading the charge is The Luscious Food Store. Located just before the main strip of shops, the cafe is defenitely worth the trip as a destination. Relax under the leafy trees, in the large outside area, while the kids play in the sandpit and choose something from the extensive menu. We opted for the snapper cakes that were served with perfectly poached eggs and chilli jam. It was all delicious, and the coffee (Supreme) was great too.

        The little ones can play in the garden while you relax. Great atmosphere, great food. Love this place!

          When asking parent friends to recommend cafés that work for both them and their children, the first word to come out of pretty much everyone's mouth was "Luscious!". I decided to investigate the source of their enthusiasm and found that - not only do Luscious have a huge outdoor area that's all fenced in, a sandpit and chalk that kids can go crazy with on the aforementioned fence - they also nail the food and coffee. The polenta breakfast ($17.50), for one, was excellent, and there were some pretty impressive looking house-made donuts filled with fresh cream and strawberries calling our name from the counter. (Luscious are also open for dinner).

              This is the most fantastic cafe … Chalk boards all around the fences and building for the kiddies to draw on and a sandpit … Fabulous food and fantastic staff …. Had a great time here x

                  Went here for lunch one day when we were in the area. The menu was great and the staff were so friendly. I really loved the food. They also loved the space to move around too. A very nice family friendly environment with yummy food which was delivered quickly. A great find.

                    I stumbled across this cafe looking for a place to buy loose leaf herbal tea. I was impressed by their cafe so ordered a coffee as well and it was good. Awesome cafe for Te Atatu peninsula residents
