Eagle Bar is my absolute favourite bar in Auckland, it’s my local, my go-to and I without fail always have a good night out. It’s the perfect little queer bar with none of that tacky and over the top decor that you may find at other bars. It’s small and quirky and has a whole lot of personality. Pro tip: The bartenders dance on the bar when you play Tina Turner’s Proud Mary on the jukebox!

Eagle Bar is my ultimate favourite place to go on a night out. You will most likely know I am there because the soundtrack for the night will include Tina Turner and TLC. Which is probably the beauty of this place, they have a music system that lets you pick the songs! Definately the place to go if you want to engage in crazy conversations. You never know where the night will take you.

Basically the default place to go for a quiet drink on K'rd, Eagle Bar has a cozy back room and a generally warm and inviting place to sit, have a drink, maybe even make some new friends!

I love this place! Its always my pre drinks stop when going out to town. The bar staff are snazzy and do an incredible job!

LOVE LOVE LOVE.. thought it was my secret place was there lastnight and it was packed to the max... Love the fact that you can play your own music via the juke box, the staff are awesome and normally have an amazing night with the eagle as my last stop before home

Love Eagle... it's never too crowded, the music is perfectly cheesy, it's super gay-friendly and the drinks are great. We always have space to sit down, and to have a dance if we feel like it. Great meeting spot on K Rd.

Unpretentious, queer/friendly crowd, affordable drinks, a cuckoo clock, a gilt-framed mirror, a shelf of toby jugs, comfy seats and a sweet jukebox.

This place never fails to awe and amaze me! If you love old school rock & roll, a bit of Tina Turner, and then odd 90s & now hits thrown in for a bit of spice and you're not phazed by a rough come queer looking crowd, then this place on K Road is a great starter for a big night out! The staff are always up for a laugh and a bit of spotlight to keep the punters happy and the buzz lively. Great start!
