Our story begins in Vulcan Lane at the site originally known as Kerouac Deli Café which was owned by industry pioneer Chris Priestly. Kerouac was one of the first cafés in Auckland to have an espresso machine imported from Italy.

The deco for this cafe is so warm and inviting and it really feels like you're just eating in the dining room of a modern townhouse The staff are as inviting and friendly as you could possibly imagine and the food is sooo good! If you're a fan of a healthy breakfast, you will definitely not be disappointed in their granola! At a reasonable price, it's more than enough to get you through the day! Breakfast here is undoubtedly a treat!
On arrival at the cafe we were warmly greeted by who we think was the owner which was a nice. The food menu looked amazing but we had already had lunch at an earlier cafe but very quickly regretted it when we saw the food come out to the table next to us. The coffee was excellent and the quantity impressive. There are plenty of comfortable seats at this venue and the way it is designed it definitely catches the sun. I strongly encourage people to give this cafe a go, you won;t be disappointed!
