Run by Frank and Jilly, this bakery are masters at the humble pie. They bake fresh, puff pastry every day and change their flavours and culinary creations regularly.

If you want a good pie, this is one of the places people in the Wairarapa region know all about and their insider tip: Don't stop here without trying the Mega Mate. It's the owners take on a sausage roll but which has mashed potato and bacon wrapped around the meat with cheese on top of pastry. Yum!

Relatively new on the scene, this bakery serves up delicious pies and sausage rolls, including a yummy vegan option. Freshly baked everyday with a variety of fillings, it's a good way to warm up in the winter with my favourites, including a kumara or a steak pie. The Mega Mate has mashed potato and bacon wrapped around the meat with cheese on top of the pastry.
