TLC Meats is a New Plymouth butchery located in the Richmond Centre. Owned by Tony Varga, they focus on premium New Zealand grown meats.

A popular choice during the festive season, they sell a large number of turkeys from Ashburton's Crozier Farm and hams from Itoham at Waitara.

If you want to make your Christmas dinner extra special, grab one of their famous Tuduckens, a combination of turkey, duck and chicken.

Another popular choice is the Chicken Grenade. Stuffed with cream cheese, grated cheese, capsicum and chilli sauce, it can be enjoyed at any time of the year.

TLC meats has quality meats that are at quite low prices, I’m surprised they’re actually not a lot busier than what they are. They’re conveniently located in the Richmond Centre right next door to a fruit and vegetable shop, so you can almost get all your shopping done right then and there! They usually have staff picks each week to showcase the many different cuts and types of meat they have in stock.

    Finally a local butcher that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg to shop here, and it's a great alternative to getting meats and frozens at the supermarket. It's located in the Richmond Shopping Centre and is even placed right next door to a fruit and vegetable shop for convenience!
