I discovered the Typo chain (before I knew it WAS a chain) when I was down in Wellington searching for a case for my 11" macbook air. Needn't have looked any further, except I never got around to buying one while I was there - cue discovery of the Typo store in St Lukes, excellent! Great range of quirky gifts, stationery, accessories, office supplies, and knick knacks to both function and decorate. For all those burning "what do you buy a hipster who already has everything!?" questions, you need not look any further. Accessory labels like Fred are already stocked here, so there's no need to pay an arm and a leg for shipping from the US. Classy laptop/iPad sleeves, funky picture frames, birthday cards for that special "Hallmark-just-doesn't-do-it-for-me" somebody. The satchels they sell are pretty cute, too, not to mention organizational aids for your desk and bookshelf (if you have a bookshelf worth organizing). This is down as my first stop for birthdays, not to mention that cool rocketship money bank for all the tips I save... or not.

I found this shop at Pacific Fair in the GC.. Spent way to much time and money in there haha.. I wondered where the NZ shop was as the price tags had both aussie and NZ prices on them.. I live in Onehunga so St lukes is wayy easy to get to.. Funny i usually shop at Sylvia Park but I will be making special trips to St lukes now cause I loved the shop.. Yah for TYPO..

This is literally the coolest shop in town! It has so many useless yet awesome gifts as well as some really styli practical items as well. As someone who loves traveling the London, new york and Paris stuff has a place in my heart. I hope this shop goes viral and spreads through the country!

i heard about Typo long before I made it into the shop.  For a birthday I was given a 'Zombie in a Pearl Earring' notebook and assorted pens and cool paper things.  I was in heaven.  L.O.V.E paper products of any kind. When I finally did make it in, I was back at the top of the Swiss Alps of paper nirvana.  The shop is a treasure trove of all things stationery.  From the '3 for $10' cards to the Prints down the back there is something for every situation. There is a really quick turnover of stock so you have to get in quick if you find something you love.  I bought a few little things for stocking fillers last week and went back yesterday to find they were sold out.  There are plenty of other things to take their place but the cute stamps I liked may not be back. I took a couple of out-of-town friends yesterday and they took on that sense of fascination that I once had.  I left them there for about 45 minutes and came back to find them with a veritable sack of treats.  Whether you are after stuff to stock your own home office with or gifts for someone else, Typo is a great place to do it.

I came to st Lukes for the first time not long ago with my mother. We went to most places in the mall but Typo really stood out to me. The shop is so beautifully presented. I love the way they have displayed their products in little collections. Overall it was a memorable experience for me at st lukes, the friendly staff and the aesthetics were awesome!
