Run by local sports hero Steve Hotton, the Valley Cafe and Bakery offers authentic and tasty food made from local products such as Mt Cook salmon, merino and in season fruit and veg.
With indoor and outdoor seating and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner on Fridays, locals rave about the 300 gram merino pies and delicious home made pizzas.
The range of gluten and preservative free meats are popular, particularly the pipsqueker sausage which is designed for young children. Also recommended are the Waitaki spice sausages and who can resist cinnamon flavoured bacon!

This little Kurow cafe and bakery has it all: great service, good coffee and nice freshly made food. Using locally sourced produce including Mt Cook salmon, merino and seasonal fruit and vegetables, expect your brunch to be healthy and delicious. Most food is made on site and from scratch including the cinnamon flavoured bacon, Italian style sausages, pâté and pickles and chutneys!

We stopped here for lunch - something for everyone from cheese rolls, toasted sandwiches and merino pies to delicious panini a and lovely biscuits and cakes. Coffee was good and service was fast and friendly!
