This place is such a hidden gem. I bet most Waikato locals haven't even been! It's a short drive from Hamilton's main city centre and is so worth it. Great tea, even better high tea, and such a cool atmosphere. Definitely the place to take gran on my next grandaughter-grandmother date.

    Great high tea experience. Something a little different on the outskirts of town. Great scenery.

      Feeling fancy? Book high tea at Zealong Tea Estate. You get a yummy selection of delicate savouries and sweets, and a choice of one of the expertly grown house teas. I sat out on the deck and enjoyed the view and beautiful sunshine, sipping on what seemed like a never ending light floral tea. They also offer tours of the plantation.

        For High Tea as an immersive experience, head to Zealong's Gordonton Estate. At New Zealand's only tea plantation, you'll be rewarded with stunning views, the Discover Tea Experience tour that takes you behind the scenes of Zealong and the creation and traditions of tea, and enjoy High Tea with the estate's finest brews.
