    Tatty's Designer Recycle
    Ponsonby
Want a winter refresh, sartorially speaking? Get your hot little hands on the plethora of amazing second hand coats stocked  in Tatty's. Afforable designers at a fraction of a cost - another woman's trash is bound to be treasured by someone else. I love this approach - let's chill with the fast fashion and take things slowly ladies.

    Encore Fashion Recycle Ponsonby
    Ponsonby
Encore is the perfect place to get some new threads for less. I love second hand clothing for the sheer economy of it - for the price of a mass produced garment of dubious origins you can get a NZ made designer dress. Smart (slow) fashion.

    Kate Sylvester Ponsonby
    Grey Lynn
This store is pristine, and I LOVE KS. She is my favourite New Zealand designer and although the prices are high, the pieces last and last. Paying for quality means less regret and impulse purchasing. That jacket you had to put on layby and cost half a week's paycheck will last you 10 years.

    Fuzzy Vibes Junction
    Auckland Central
My go to spot for quirky vintage accessories and home decor. It is closing down soon, and I am devastated. Get in quick for a closing down sale bargain.

    Iko Iko Auckland
    Newton
Stuck for what to buy your lady love? Iko Iko is a wonderland for jewellery, quirky items of curio and adorable bits and bobs! Whether your budget is $30 or $300 you will find something amazing that your manic pixie dream girl will love forever.

    Olaf's Artisan Bakery & Cafe
    Mt Eden
On our weekly date, mum and I agreed it had to be Olaf’s. Freshly made artisan breads and the nicest coffee in Mt Eden Village. Today I tried the outstanding raspberry tarte - pure bliss. Highly recommended.

Nosh Food Market - Mt Eden
    Mt Eden
Despite the fact that this place looks super fancy and is home to amazing (yet expensive) artisan products, you can actually get the cheapest milk in Auckland here! That's because they bottle it themselves, I think. Go there for fresh fruit and veges and of course milk!

    La Cigale French Market
    Parnell
If you go here, for goodness sake be a bit French about it. Throw the diet out the window and have something absolutely oozing in butter. Not to mention some cheese while you're at it! La Cigale offers French , Italian, Swiss, Spanish, British Cheeses as well as a range of New Zealand Cheeses which is ideal if you're a bit obsessed with cheese as I am. Go on Saturday or Sunday and taste all of the things. Truly delicious.

    Farro Fresh - Grey Lynn
    Grey Lynn
Foodie things abound in this classy alternative to a supermarket. I love to pore over everything... The cheese expecially holds my interest.

    Ponsonby Central
    Ponsonby
If Pon"snobby" does one thing perfectly, it's gotta be the food. An array of cafes, restaurants and gourmet supply stores litter this very cool new addition to the Ponsonby Rd Strip.

    The Sweetest Little Chocolate Shop
    Auckland Central
This chocolate shop is amazing. We were served by the sweetest shop assistant - only appropriate for the sweetest little chocolate store! No matter the holiday, you are sure to find some customised hand made chocolates waiting for you to delight and surprise your friends and family. I must admit, I am taken with the novelty 'meme' chocolates myself.

    Chocolate Boutique Cafe
    Parnell
When I go on a date I like it to end up in.... Chocolate Boutique Cafe. The chilli denso is out of this world - with an intensely dense cacao taste with warming undertones of chili. Peppery, yet mild enough for a spice phobic like me! Share one with your date and cupid's aim might just improve.

    Valentino's Gelato
    Auckland Central
Perfect after-dinner treat and what an amazing location! The awesome ice cream servers will let you try anything you want before you make your much-agonised-over decision. You’ll never have order envy either, all the flavours are delicious.

    Moustache
    Auckland Central
This place is small, but punches way above its weight!  The cookies are inventive and the hot drinks are divine. Well done Moustache, may you live long and prosper.
