Real estate felt like my inevitable career path. At 19, still living at home, I purchased my inaugural rental property. Every Tuesday, I would collect rent with a rent book in hand and a feigned sense of maturity, building a strategy to secure passive income for my retirement—a vision I have maintained ever since. This early investment experience has been instrumental in helping clients attain their own property objectives. I entered the industry in 1985, joining a local construction firm to sell properties to investors and first-home buyers. By 1990, I transitioned to a major local agency to sell residential real estate. Following a brief period abroad, I returned to Hamilton to join Challenge Realty, which was subsequently acquired by LJ Hooker. After seven years of hosting open homes, I shifted to commercial sales in 1997, focusing on investment flat blocks. As a flat owner myself, I have genuine conviction in my product. With over three decades as an investor and more than 20 years in real estate marketing, I possess the depth of experience required to guide others to success. My professional highlights include memberships in the Million Dollar Sales and Captains Clubs, as well as receiving a 1995 University of Waikato Blues Award for rugby coaching and a nomination for Coach of the Year at the 1995 Waikato Sports Person of the Year awards.
