Troydon Barrell

Raised in Ruatangata, Northland, Troy Barrell was destined for a life in agriculture. His competitive drive emerged early, nurtured by a sporting family while supporting his father at rugby matches and later competing for Northland in hockey during his schooling at Kamo Intermediate and Kamo High School. Following his graduation from Lincoln University with a Diploma in Agriculture, Troy gained over 15 years of practical farming expertise across New Zealand, Canada, and Australia. His diverse background includes sheep, beef, dairy, and cropping, with experience managing 1,200-plus hectare properties and 8,000 stock units. Troy’s expertise covers irrigation design, farm conversions, breeding initiatives, financial management, and mentoring junior staff. Characterized as driven, personable, and approachable, he prioritizes integrity and authentic client relationships. His capacity for innovative thinking, work ethic, and adaptability makes him a standout professional in real estate and agriculture. An avid outdoorsman, Troy enjoys hunting, diving, fishing, and hiking from the Three Kings Islands to Stewart Island. Returning to his Northland roots allows him to enjoy the region's rural lifestyle and coastline.
