I have worked at Acacia Cove Village for the past 13 years and love coming to work every day. It is a vibrant Village in a tranquil setting on the Wattle Downs peninsula with a myriad of activities to be enjoyed by residents. It is a fabulous place to work with so much variety and the residents have become part of my family. Lyn Greenwood

Hidden Treasure !!! Acacia Cove Retirement Village is situated on the Waimahia Estuary, a walkers and cyclists paradise. Playgrounds, reserves, golf courses, and beaches on your doorstep. The apartments & 1, 2, and 3 bedroom villas are renovated to suit individual needs. The lodge is the hub of the village with a restaurant, lounge, billiard table, heated indoor pool, gym, hairdresser, medical rooms and a motel unit for your extra visitors. The staff are supportive and always willing to assist when required. The residents are friendly and the social committee do a great job organizing various social events. Warren and I moved to Acacia last year. We are very happy and our only regret is that we didn’t move here sooner. A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE!!

I moved to Acacia Cove Village 14 months ago. Primarily for security reasons as I had been burgled twice within two weeks. in 2012. I wanted to stay reasonably close to The Guide Dog Centre as I am a dedicated puppy walker of numerous years and still work casually at Manukau. Acacia Cove Village has been the perfect choice with manager Bruce giving permission to have a puppy. This involved fencing off the area around my lovely villa . Nothing has been too much trouble. for Management and the team.My puppy and I were made very welcome by fellow residents. My lifestyle continues as previously, with the added bonus of plenty of activities, trips entertainment etc. and company if I feel lonely (especially when the pup has left to go in for training) Feeling safe and sound in the secure environment has removed all the stress and with lovely walks along the Manukau just outside the back gate it makes Acacia Cove Village unique.

i was rised by my grand mother so im very well known with elderly people, im 21 now and  my grandmother passed away last year may 5th just after 2 two from my birthday .. she was very ill i was looking after she most of the time  so i like to work at a place or help around where by people need my help. i will be very happy if i get a chance to work with them .....

Close your eyes - DREAM - envisage how you would like your "older years"  to be. A high spec home, beautifully maintained parklike gardens, nice friendly people, fun and safety. Heaps of brain and body activities, and always a social occasion to look forward to. Then this is the place to be. Negatives!!! - well we can't think of one.        Pete & Suzie Hasselman.

We have over 30 activities of which most of us particiipate in at least them.  We put concerts on.  We also raise money for out Social Club to get entertainers in to entertain us.  Currently we are raising funds to send our choir to Wellington next year to compete against other choirs in New Zealand. We have competitions amongst ourselves and with other villages.  Bruce and management are very generous and donate monies towards these competitions.  Bruce the manager holds Siorees with nibbles and wine, to make sure we all mix and mingle. This is a wonderful place to live and I would never want to move anywhere else.

We moved here a year ago, and haven't had so much fun for years. The Management Team are marvellous and always very helpful, nothing seems to be "impossible" . There are so may activities available that it is hard to decide what to do at times, and I don't think that we have ever been so "busy". For people who never wanted to live in a village, we have been completely won over, and have made many friends in a very short time.
