Alimento has been named Bay of Plenty Cafe of the Years a few times... and with good reason. They have a huge menu and everything is so perfectly crafted. If you're looking for a healthy lunch then their cabinet food is a one-stop-shop for healthy yummy meals such as quiches, wraps, muffins and salads.
This place is a favourite for a relaxed brunch in a spot slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of Devonport Rd or The Strand. The cafe itself is spacious and light and there’s a large, well groomed courtyard out the front where you can relax in the sun. The cabinet selection includes amazing salads and pastries for a tasty brunch.
Alimento has impressed me each time I have been there. The breakfast menu is delicious, the staff are always friendly and in some cases they have gone over and above to make my experience even better. They also welcome dogs in their outside seating and offer up drinking water for them. A nice touch.
Every year for my birthday I HAVE to visit Alimento cafe & have a wedge of the most divine lemon tart on the planet! Of course I don't just go there once a year, but it's definitely a place to go when you want something extra special! Everything is presented so beautifully, the decor is stylish, & great coffee. Love this place!
