We love the quaint little cafe and the cozy setting of this theater. It has the best wednesday to Sunday movie deals in town and we feel safe letting our teenage kids meet friends there for movies!

    Catching the latest flick at Berkeley is a great way to end the day. I like the cosy feel of the cinema and the $9.90 deal from Sundays - Wednesdays are great when you’re on a budget!

      Nothing beats winding down a rainy afternoon by catching a flick at Berkeley Cinema in Takapuna, walking up the stairs to the foyer and smelling that fresh popcorn the closer you get really makes me forget about the weather and enjoy the atmosphere in the cinema.

            The theatre room was quite small- but not in a bad way, it was kind of cosy. Service was good. Everything went fine.

              Not as big as some but they still show good movies. Great place to get to- car park right outside the movies and its free in the evenings- even better. Pretty easy to find, have to walk up stairs to get there. Long counter, nice seating area at the end, at the windows. Watties cans festival- came here last easy. Was cool! Bathrooms to the side, downstairs before you walk up- nice facilities. Great movie theatre!

                This is a small little cinema but its nice and clean and the staff are friendly.  The cinemas themselves are small and are comfy.  The toilets are a bit annoying as they are down stairs!!  Its in quite a handy location with heaps of bars/restaurants nearby and the beach too.

                  I really like the smaller cinemas as it feels more intimate and you feel included in the movie.  Berkley is always nice and tidy and its always a pleasure to go there to see a film.

                    Tuesday nights at the movies is cheap night which is an added bonus to going, but it can make for a busy evening at the pictures. Wednesday night is great at the movies as it is nice and quiet and you can sometimes end up with the theatre to yourself. The best candy bar item is there kaput i rolled ice creams they do certain regular flavours but also offer a flavour of the week! This weeks was gingernut! Yum
