Berkeley Takapuna

Hoyts takapuna I a great place to see the latest movies. It’s easy to get to and there’s lots of parking. The coffee is good there an the service is always friendly. I highly recommend the selection of kapiti ice cream and the pick of the day is always great.

A great cinema showing mainstream films, also has a mums and bibs session. Comfty seats too!

This move theatre is great for a art house / mainstream cinema. There are only 4 cinemas so there is not always a lot of options but if we are out for a movie this is the first Northshore location we look at. Due to the size it is always quieter during the evenings and i have never seen any teenagers or children around which is nice when you leave yours at home for a relaxing night out. The candy bar items are fresh tasting and the staff make good coffee so they have had good training unlike some places. Te icecreams are still rolled on site so they are full of the real ice cream creamy flavour. they are always fresh and are made with Kapiti ice cream which no other places really use and then they are dipped in chocolate. Well worth the price when you think about the man hours that go into making each one. The movie selections are generally good too.

This theater is in such a great spot, especially since there are many nice places to eat in Taka it makes it easy to go for dinner and then a movie. I also really like that the parking lot is free, which you hardly find these days so it make it much better. This theater also looks new still it is kept up very well and i love the sitting area upstairs while you wait for your movie.

The cinema is located conviniently right next to a large carpark which only costs after 3 hours. Berkeley play a large range of movies and the cinemas are comfy and well maintained.

Nicely appointed, and always playing the latest releases, I enjoy the odd occasion when I happen to be in Takapuna and visiting Berkeley Cinemas. I’ve also been there as part of a large group booking through a previous place of work, and found them to be helpful and easy to deal with. The foyer area is nice and cosy, with some armchairs and mood lighting.  Still, it can be a little cramped at times, particularly when compared to other cinema complexes.
