Birdies Cafe is located in the heart of the Northland town of Kaitaia. Popular with locals and those passing through, the cafe is open 7 days a week and is known for its friendly staff, great service and delicious fresh food.

The tasty menu consists of some hearty all day breakfasts along with paninis, filled croissants, salads, burgers and a good selection of kids meals.

Tuck into the delicious seafood chowder, or relax with a coffee and cake while catching up on all the latest gossip.

The food is reasonably priced and so delicious! The wedges are amazing!

    Birdies is one of Kaitaia’s gems. They’re a super friendly brunch who bend over backwards to please you. I went there with my little cousins and they were really helpful in accommodating the little ones. We were able to order nachoes for the kids that they split into two in the kitchen, making it one cheap childrens’ feed! The staff kept apologising about the wait but it was hardly anything - maybe ten minutes. Thanks Birdies for the speedy service :D
